You may have recently seen the “We’re Hiring” post on the RAMP Facebook and Twitter pages. This year, RAMP partnered with AmeriCorps to bring in a new face to work with our RAMP-in-Residence program. Sarah Phillips is an AmeriCorps member assigned to work with RAMP the Regional Acceleration and Mentoring Program.
Sarah is a local student who graduated from Floyd County High School in 2015. She is a first-generation college student and has just entered the last semester towards obtaining her undergraduate degree. In May of 2019, she will receive a B.S. in International Studies with a concentration in Business, and a Minor in French from Virginia Tech. During Sarah’s time at Virginia Tech, she participated in a study abroad program which gave her the opportunity to live in Switzerland for four months while deepening her love for travel. We are excited to have Sarah on board with us this year!
